1-Day Workshop on Accreditation Assessment

To introduce the newly revised EAC Manual 2017. It will highlight and provide examples of the new requirements for accreditation. Participants may pose any question or raise any relevant issues on accreditation.

Prof. Ir. Megat Johari is the founding Dean of Malaysia Japan International Institute of Technology at UTM Kuala Lumpur Campus and the founding Director of the Engineering Accreditation Department (EAD) at the Board of Engineers Malaysia. Currently he is the Assoc. Director (International Affairs) at the EAD. Prof. Ir. Megat Johari was the Head of Quality Assurance at the Faculty of Engineering, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) prior to joining BEM and was a Director of the Centre for Quality and Risk Management at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). His involvement in professional societies includes as Vice-President of Institution of Engineers Malaysia, Deputy President to Malaysian Society for Engineering & Technology (MySET) and Deputy President of the Federation of Engineering Institutions of Islamic Countries (FEIIC). Trained for lead auditor for quality and environment management systems, he had conducted numerous training programmes on accreditation and outcome based education as well as quality and environmental management systems both locally and overseas. He had published nearly 300 research and academic papers in the field of environmental engineering and engineering education. He is also engaged by the Ministry of Higher Education in auditing for Research University and High Centre of Excellent. Presently, Prof. Ir. Megat Johari is the Head of the Ecological Engineering Research Laboratory in UTM.

Please note: Enrollment is limited to first 30 people and thereby advanced registration is required and accepted in the order received. Cancellation must be in writing. Refunds, less a cancellation fee of RM250 will be issued up to 10 business working days prior to the start of the course; all cancellations received thereafter are non-refundable. Should you be unable to attend, a substitute is welcomed as your replacement at no additional charge. Please provide details of the substitute participant. Full course fee will be charges at no-show cases.

The organizer reserves the right to cancel this workshop if the number of participants do not meet the minimum requirement.
